Essential preferences
The locale cookie remembers your language for one year. Theme preference uses local storage for light, dark or system. These settings are used to deliver your explicit preferences and do not identify visits for analytics.
Optional metrics
The gsampaio-metrics cookie exists only after a choice. Rejecting stores a common versioned preference marker without a unique ID. Accepting creates a random HttpOnly/SameSite=Strict identifier for up to 180 days. A session-only marker prevents repeated visit counts in the same tab and pauses collection if withdrawal needs a retry. No third-party analytics cookies, pixels or advertising services are used.
Events and limits
The site counts visits after consent, page categories, fixed link actions, navigation and estimated exits. These counts exclude visitors who reject. Hidden tabs can resemble exits and some closing requests are lost, so this is not an exact abandonment rate or a unique-person count.
Change your choice
Use Accept metrics, Reject metrics or Withdraw consent below or in any footer. Withdrawal pauses the client immediately and removes the current grant/events after the server confirms. If saving fails, collection stays paused in the current tab and you can retry. Deleting browser cookies also removes local preference; it does not itself delete previously stored server events, which expire within 30 days.
